April 8—ID Easter Party
It’s Easter Party Time! Time to start planning for the Knights of Columbus/Special Camps Easter party for kids and adults with intellectual disabilities from local area group homes, and our Special Camps families too. The date is Saturday, April.
New Location: Due to potential conflict in reconstruction at St. Dan’s in Wheaton this year, the Easter party has been moved (for one year only), to the American Legion on Gary Avenue in Carol Stream, just 2 minutes North of the Wheaton Bowl)
I am Hoping this will be our LARGEST Easter Egg HUNT ever! The American Legion offers a large party room with great handicap accessibility, and an Easter Egg hunt right outside the back doors where a beautiful pavilion and acres of land await our fun and loving party guests.
St Daniel’s Knights will again provide all of the food, and have already located and confirmed the perfect party spot until we can return our beloved St. Dan’s. The Wheaton Knights will again provide all of the yummy treats! Reed & Kathy will run the crafts, and Colleen will provide the Easter eggs, table decorations, and games
St. Irene Knights please provide as many volunteers you can to assist each special guest in collecting Easter eggs, completing a craft, playing games and having a great time at the party!
I’m a bit anxious not having the event at a church of which to draw our greatest volunteer base, so please help me spread the word to your youth groups, Religious Education groups and the middle/high school and scout troops. The more volunteers we can provide, the greater our event will be for our very deserving guests.
