In Memoriam
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on June 1 of Sir Knight Robert “Dr. Bob” Geary, DPM.
Bob, age 57, is survived by his dear wife Mary and his two adult children, Brett and Danielle.
He graduated in 1985 from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, Chicago, and did his residency at Henrotin Hospital in Chicago. He was affiliated with AMITA Health, Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
His wake will be at William Kamp Funeral Home, Wheaton, on Monday June 5 3-9 PM. The 4th Degree Honor Guard is requested from 6-7:30 PM. with the funeral at St. Irene’s on Tuesday June 6 at 10 AM.
Bob became a Knight in 2004, and has been an active member ever since, serving as our Council’s Youth Director for the past several years. Bob loved working with the youth of our parish and school, coordinating events such as the annual Free Throw contest, Spelling bee, Share our Soles shoe drive and Keep Christ in Christmas Poster contest. Bob will be remembered for his empathetic heart and his service to his community, but most of all for his devotion to his family, especially his beloved wife Mary.
