Put on your most comfortable shoes Sept. 15-17. The annual Tootsie Roll Drive is upon us! Follow the Council 6710 Intellectual Disability “Tootsie Roll” Fund Drive to sign-up! Every Volunteer Counts! Each hour of solicitation brings in $50-$100 towards the Goal!
The annual fund drive benefits citizens with intellectual disabilities. One of our most charitable works is the funding of homes for citizens with ID. Last year the gross proceeds were $7,582, of this we awarded:
- Illinois State Council Charities Inc. for Disability Homes—$758
- Cupertino Home, Warrenville—$4096
- Special Camps—Colleen McDonald—$864
- Western DuPage Special Recreation Area—$864
- Diocese of Joliet Life Office—$25
The only deduction is the cost of the Tootsie Rolls of $975.
Please consider participating in this extremely worthwhile event. The amount that we collect is a function of how many Knights participate: the more participation, the greater the collection; It’s as simple as that! The schedule is as follows:
- Fri., Sept. 15: 6:30 AM-7:00 PM
- Sat., Sept. 16: 7:30 AM–3:00 PM
- Sun., Sept. 17: After 8:00 & 10: AM Masses
