Knights of Columbus Eyeglass and DME Drive Starts Feb. 29

In part, Mark 8:25 reads, “Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.”  This neatly sums up for what the Knights of Columbus are striving in the 2020 St. Irene Eyeglass and DME Drive.

Please bring and donate your old or unwanted eyeglasses and drop them off in the collection box in the back of the church.  Eyeglasses will be forwarded to the Lions Club International local chapter for renovation and reuse by those in need.  The collection box will be in the back of the church from Saturday, February 29 until Sunday, May 31.

DME (Durable Medical Equipment) – New this year, we also will be collecting used durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, bath chairs and crutches as well as other miscellaneous items such as hearing aids. These items will be donated to appropriate healthcare and/or senior organizations.  Please leave your donations in the church narthex or call Joseph Kubal by telephone at 630-983-6159 or by e-mail at jdrk4715@aol.com to schedule a pick-up.
