Fr. Jim, Pastor since 1999, on Sunday, Mar. 8, announced that he will retire as Pastor of St. Irene as of June 15.
He will be moving to serve as Chaplain at Rosary Hill Retirement Home in Justice, IL. The Home is owned and operated by the Dominican Sisters
of Hawthorne. The Home is committed to palliative care to those suffering with cancer.
Fr. Jim will be in residence at the Home where, as he states, “Polish Nuns there will be able to tend to his needs. They make the best pierogis.” We wish him the best in the future. The Council will choose to remain in contact with him by sending all future communications including the monthly newsletter
