     The St Irene Knights of Columbus is conducting a virtual fundraiser in support of Mercy Home’s mission.

     You have heard of Mercy Home for Boys and Girls in Chicago Mass that is aired each Sunday on WGN-TV.  Over the years, we have appeared several times at the taping of these masses.  Mercy Home was founded in 1887 and has been a refuge for our most vulnerable children and young adults. They come to Mercy Home having faced tremendous hardships including poverty, housing instability, violence, loss, and more. The trauma that results from these experiences impacts the ways these young people grow, learn, and relate to the world around them. But with the full-time care, counseling, and education they receive at Mercy Home, young people can break the cycles of abuse, neglect, and poverty. They go on to become self-reliant, thriving adults who positively impact the lives of others.
