The annual drive continues through October. To date $1350 have been donated online through GoFundMe. We thank those who have contributed. If you have not yet contributed, please consider making a donation. Any amount is acceptable. To donate go to https://gofund.me/73e7d533 One week ago, an in-person solicitation by Knights was conducted in Warrenville. Their efforts brought in an additional $3500. We are well on our way of reaching a combined $10000 goal. Thank you again. People with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) have limitations in intellectual functions like communicating, taking care of themselves, and impaired social skills. Depending on the level of impairment, many with ID live in special facilities and group homes. Although they are state supported, funding is limited. Half the money raised will be donated to the Cupertino Group Home located in Warrenville (a Clare Woods Academy operated facility, Carol Stream). The remaining half will be split between Western DuPage Special Recreation Association, Special Camps for Special People of Winfield, and Illinois Knights of Columbus Charities, Inc. All 100% of the funds we receive from this GoFundMe drive go to support these organizations. The money is then distributed to these designated organizations. |
