Mar. 12-13 & 19-20: Bread Tag and Key Collection Drive at St. Irene Church

The St. Irene Knights of Columbus are again partnering with SCARCE, a local environmental education group in Addison, to collect bread tags for the “Danielle Cares for Chairs” charity.  Started by a 17-year-old high schooler, this non-profit collects and recycles bread tags to raise money to acquire wheelchairs and mobility assistance devices for those in need.

Additionally, we will be collecting old, unused keys of all types for recycling by SCARCE.  Their program is “Keys for Conservation” which asks you to donate your old, unused keys to support SCARCE’s environmental education and rescue projects.

Tags can be dropped off at the church entrance collection boxes on the two weekends of March 12-13 and 19-20 only.  Tags and keys can be put in the same collection receptacle.  If you need further information, contact Joe at 630-983-6159 or jdrk4715@aol.com. Thank you for your support!
