Invitation to Join Council Community Outreach Club

     Each year Brother Knights at St. Irene’s volunteer in the community to clean-up the roadside and maintain flower beds at Warrenville Welcome Signs.  We help to build  planter boxes, plant perennials and flowers for Warrenville in Bloom.  We are out soliciting funds for the Tootsie Roll Drive.  We sponsor blood drives.

     Please consider joining a Community Outreach Club and say that I am willing to volunteer at community events.  The requirement is that you are willing to be personally contacted each time an event occurs urging your participation.  The expectation is that you participate.  As an organized club, member leaders and event champions are able to recruit enough volunteers to make the event successful.  Sometimes it may be Tootsie Roll Drive or Blood Drive chairmen.

     The club has incentives to grow its membership and to become aware of new community projects.  Membership should not be limited to Brother Knights only.  An opportunity to recruit new Knights of Columbus members becomes likely.

     It is hoped that participation in club events becomes rewarding to each individual on many levels, especially recognition for a job well done.  Leading club events provides opportunities to develop your leadership skills.  Brother Knights with a common cause are able to celebrate together at fun picnics and dinners.

     It is hoped that with enough participation that the club will be successful now and in the future.
