KC Membership Drive Feb. 25-26

     On the weekend of Feb. 25-26, our Council will be conducting a membership drive at St. Irene’s.  At each Mass, a pulpit announcement inviting Catholic men to join the Knights of Columbus will be made.  The announcement will describe who we are and what we do.  Those who are interested along with their families will be invited to the Activities Center immediately after the Mass for a short presentation (< 30 min) by representatives of our Council and Insurance agent, explaining the benefits of membership.  Download Member Benefits publication to read more about the benefits offered. Prospects will be urged to join electronically. There is no membership charge for the first year. 

     Financial Secretary James Halama will receive a notice, and will contact the new e-member and arrange to formally induct him into our Council.  A degree ceremony video will be presented, and at the end of the video, e-member(s) will become 3rd Degree members of the Knights of Columbus.  E-members are urged to have their family members present during the degree ceremony and video presentation.

     The membership drive does not need to be restricted to those attending Mass on this designated weekend.  Prior to this weekend, You (KC member, ladies, or anyone reading this article) can try to recruit prospects.  Invite them to attend one of the presentations on Feb. 25 or Feb. 26 the St. Irene Activities Center.
