Program Awards for
October 2016
Bob Geary Knight of the Month: Council 6710 is proud to honor Sir Knight Bob Geary as our Knight of the month for October. Bob is the Committee Chair for the Council’s Youth Programs and as such remains busy throughout the year. Beginning in November, Bob will be very busy coordinating the Keep Christ in Christmas program which has been an outstanding and well received Council program for a number of years. In the past Bob has also ensured the Council remains active in the Shoe Drive, the Free Throw contest, Feed our Starving Children and a number of other important programs.
Glen Kussman Family of the Month: Council 6710 honor’s PGK Glen Kussman and his wife Terri as the Family of the month for October. Glen has served on the Council’s first degree team and holds or has held so many council and committee positions that the list is too extensive to recount. Glen is a positive role model for all Brother Knights and can be counted on to have a kind word and provide positive support whenever he is involved in a Council activity. Terri is a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and participates alongside Glen at many events, including the blood drives.
Community Program: The Ladies Auxiliary conducted a very successful food driver on October 15 and 16.
Council Program: Father Jim Antiporek was recognized for his continued guidance of the parish during 10am mass on October 30.
Church Program: On October 16, Tribute Masses for Warrenville People of Service were recognized at both Sunday masses.
Youth Program: Council 6710 and the Ladies Auxiliary donated 24 coats to those in need in Warrenville through the “Coats for Kids” program on October 19.
